Manual or Automatic?

Manual brewers give you control over every variable and cost far less, but the result depends on your technique and attention each morning. What Else You Need

Whichever brewer you choose, three things decide the result more than the brewer itself: a burr grinder for consistent particle size, a scale so your coffee-to-water ratio is repeatable, and the correct filters for your device. A gooseneck kettle matters too, but only for pour-over.
