Hario V60-01 Ceramic Coffee Dripper – White | Pour-Over Dripper in the UAE

The Hario V60 is the most widely used pour-over dripper in the world, and the ceramic version is the original. Three design decisions define it: a 60-degree cone that directs water towards the centre for a deeper coffee bed, spiral ribs that let air escape so the filter never seals against the wall, and a single large opening at the base that hands flow control entirely to you.

That last point is why the V60 has won more World Brewers Cup titles than any other dripper – and why it rewards a slow, deliberate pour. Made in Arita, Japan, a town with a 400-year porcelain tradition.

How to Brew

Rinse the paper filter with hot water – this removes papery taste and preheats the ceramic, which matters more here than with plastic.
Use a medium-fine grind, around 15 g of coffee to 250 ml of water.
Pour 50 ml to bloom, wait 30 seconds, then pour in slow spirals.
Aim for a total brew time of 2:30–3:00.

Frequently Asked Questions

01 or 02 – which size?	01 brews 1–2 cups; 02 brews 1–4 cups. If you usually brew for one, 01 gives a better bed depth than a half-filled 02.
Do I need to preheat it?	Yes – ceramic pulls heat from the water. Rinsing the filter with hot water preheats the dripper at the same time.
Which filters does it take?	Hario V60-01 paper filters, in 40 and 100 packs at Coffeedesk.ae. Size 02 filters will not sit correctly.
Ceramic, glass, plastic or metal?	Ceramic holds heat best once preheated; plastic is lightest and most forgiving; glass shows the brew; metal is the most durable.
